Classes
Water is fascinating - it can be both energising and relaxing; both calming and adrenaline filled. Our classes seek to reflect this with a focus on building a passion for water and water safety skills, all in a relaxed and fun environment.

We seek to run three 12-week courses over the year, roughly in line with the schools. Where possible we also provisionally book additional weeks which will be used in the event of any issues with the other dates in the term - this enables us to keep our costs down as much as possible while also meeting our overheads.

To ensure that we can provide a tailored approach, we keep our class sizes to just four swimmers or swimming pairs for adult and child lessons. This allows us to give individualised support and provide a truly swimmer led experience. You can sign up with friends or build new friendships for the journey.
These lessons seek to build best practices for safety as habits. They instil both water confidence and confidence in your relationship in the water.
We offer 15 minute independent 1:1 lessons to toddlers as part of our pre-fundamental swimming. We asses if both the adult & child are happy with the approach before continuing with the lesson plan if not we will tailor the plan around the pairs needs to enable a safe and happy child lead progressive lesson.
We and our customers have found that 15 minutes is sufficient for a progressive lesson in basic water safety and aquatic skills and leaving the swimmer wanting more.
For our 1:1 15 minute toddler independent classes we accept 3.5 years if the child has not had pre-fundamental lessons and from 3 years if the child has had previous pre-fundamental lessons or is confident and happy to be independent with a fully qualified teacher in pre-fundamentals.
Our classes are arranged to cater for both age and ability and they are timed for 30 minutes. For our independent children's lessons (from 3.5 years), we cover aspects of water safety throughout all of our lessons.
We offer 15 min 1:1 lessons for those who have had negative experiences with water and for those who find it challenging to swim and learn with others. We are aware that a handful of learners are dealing with a lot of sensory experiences and with the element of water and that can become rather overwhelming for some swimmers. We offer these classes for not only children but also to adults.
When we feel that our swimmer has progressed in their water skills and confidence we then put a plan in place to aid in preparing them for the transition to a 30 minute group lesson of a 2:1 or a 4:2 .
Our classes are arranged to cater for both age and ability. They are timed for 30 minutes to ensure that your little ones keep wanting more, our very earliest classes may not spend all that time in the water.

For our independent children's lessons (from 3.5 years), a 12 week term costs £198 and lessons are available Monday - Friday after school as well as Saturdays. The award scheme for these lessons split roughly into firstly building water confidence (pups awards) and then focusing on technique (seals awards) - we cover aspects of water safety throughout all of our lessons.
One of our unique approaches is to provide deep water swimming for learners. This is all founded on the focus of water safety and swimming outside of indoor swimming pool environments. We want our swimmers to feel confident in deep water and not panic in a situation where they are in a body of water that is out of their depth. We are privileged to have deep water pools as this enables the swimmers to develop their under water aquatic breathing and orientation skills.
